The mission is to educate everyone for sustainable development, which means trying to adopt a more holistic approach to education with the aim of "creating a better world for this generation and future generations of all living things on planet Earth" and reaching this at the grassroots level and in school. This will allow every child to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to shape a sustainable future.
Our mission is also to contribute towards realising this vision by applying our professional knowledge and judgement and drawing on international experience to formulate policies and plans on environmental protection, energy, conservation, and the promotion of sustainable development; to raise community awareness of and promote public support for issues related to environmental protection, energy, conservation, and sustainable development; to promote collaborative efforts through regional and international co-operation; to implement environmental protection and energy-related legislation and plans; and to administer robust environmental impact assessments in the planning of new developments and major projects.
