A meeting of the Women’s Empowerment Committee was held in which issues related to women’s protection and cybercrime were discussed.
On this occasion, an in-depth briefing on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Security of Women” was given by the Department of Home Affairs and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Government of India).
In this meeting, I had the opportunity to raise several important issues related to women’s safety. Because of the increasing rate of cybercrime, what efforts should be made to curb it are discussed in depth. Various cyber experts and other NGOs also participated in the event.
I am sure that the committee will take concrete steps for the safety of women in the coming days.
